Late August 2013
The fourth joint venture between King’s and NCW under ‘Share the Vision’ but a first to Iceland. This was a multi-sensory trip with thunderous waterfalls, as at Gullfoss, geysers and a sulphurous geothermal experience. This was followed by an ascent of Snaefellsjokull Glacier, and included ice walking, on the south shore. On the fourth we travelled to Landmannalaugar and the start point of our trek with a dip in a hot pool. The trek took us, over four days, to Porsmork. To conclude the trip we returned to Reykjavik for shopping, relaxation and the last bit of sight seeing before returning home.
